How much will I pay in local tax for my Parish Council?

Parish Councils have now set the ‘Parish Precept’ for the coming year 2025 -2026 and the amount varies from zero in some of the small parishes to over £1.0 million in the large towns (Rushden, Northampton, Daventry).

Of course, the amount each household has to pay depends on the number of households but for a local comparison let’s take a look at a ‘Band D’ property in Burton Latimer, Desborough and Rothwell.
