Desborough Decides – Thursday 6th May 2021

Thursday 6th May is an important date and Desborough residents will decide who they want as their representatives on the new North Northants Council. Sadly, as in the past, it will not be the people who vote who decide but the people who don’t vote (turnout in local elections is often lower than 25% of the electorate though Desborough has traditionally been a little higher, around 35%).

A low turnout means that a relatively small number of people, who have a Postal Vote, will have the most influence on the outcome so ask yourself –

  1. Do you think Desborough has been well represented over recent years?

  2. Do you think that the Town has had a fair deal or a fair share of the money local residents pay in Council Tax?

  3. Do you feel that local people have been listened to by their representatives?

  4. Do you think that local services meet the needs of a growing community?

  5. Are you happy to let others decide who represents you?

It’s time for change and time for Desborough to have a real voice again.

A Vote for Labour is a vote for Desborough
